A Finial Family Sunday

Description: Just prior to Christmas, Art Works Art School offered a timely ornament-making workshop for families. Our snapd photographer caught moms, dads and kids happily worked side by side creating festive ornaments from recycled paper. Instructor Jennifer Falvy explained the historic use of finials as an architectural device and decorative element which everyone then incorporated into their tree adornments. The Christmas crafters also used pastels on coloured paper to create winter wonderland works inspired by Marc Chagall, one of the most prolific artists of the 20th century.
