High Park Stewards Get Down and Dirty

Description: On June 24th, more than a dozen volunteers joined the High Park Stewards for a little community landscaping. The group of green thumbs arrived ready to weed out invasive species and replace with beautiful native plants. As an added bonus, the volunteers, ranging in gardening skill from novice to expert, got a sneak peek at High Park's greenhouse nursery, which is not normally open to the general public. The greenhouse is where many of the plants used in the stewards' restoration projects mature and where seed stocks are grown for future plantings. The High Park Stewards meet at least once a month and are always looking for help. To learn more, visit highparknature.org
