Unwanted Weeds Be Gone

Description: Determining which weeds should stay and which should go can sometimes be a challenge. Urban Forestry staff worked together with High Park volunteers on July 10th to encourage the growth of the native plants by removing some of the invasive species that compete for space and nutrients. Park helpers learned how to identify specific plants and the proper way to effectively remove unwanted weeds. Sweet white clover was the main focus for the group of helpers who worked through the heat and humidity to help keep the park beautiful.
