Description: Art Works Art School hosted a Spring Salon of adult student works from April 12 to 19. The week-long event showcased the wonderful pieces done by students and were displayed in the Art Works Gallery. A special presentation of works by Canadian impressionist painter Clara Isabella Harris were also on display along with artifacts that she left behind. Clara was a local artist who lived in the Baby Point area and left over 200 incredible paintings when she passed away in 1974. A reception was held on April 12 that saw presentations by Mary Anne De Monte-Whelan, President of the Baby Point Heritage Foundation; Christine Kowalyk, collector of Clara Harris paintings; Verna McLean, curator of Clara Harris Art; and Toronto City Councillor Sarah Doucette. The evening was hosted and emceed by Danica Loncar, Director and Curator of Art Works Art School and Gallery. The studio was packed on the evening of the reception, and guests enjoyed an array of food and drink while they viewed the stunning works of art that adorned the walls of the Art Works Gallery.
